Blueprint is our primary curriculum for seminars. It covers a wide range of topics including personal prayer, prayer evangelism and building prayer ministry in the local church. This 140 page workbook will be the syllabus for your prayer event. Lessons from the other seminar topics are included in this workbook. |
Praying Grace is designed to teach people to pray for the needs of others. It is vital when organizing prayer as a ministry time in the church, but will also equip those in attendance to be comfortable enough to pray for others whenever prayer is needed. |
A prayer based church invites the presence of God. This seminar promises to change the way we 'do' church. Powerful insights into what makes a church alive, and fulfilling the great commission, or just marking time. |
A study on personal prayer that uncovers common myths concerning prayer. Learn about your personal prayer temperament and how to pray more effectively. |
Explore how prayer can capture every thought and mold them to the mind of Chirst, tear down carnal strongholds and invite the Holy Spirit to move freely in our life and in our church. |
What to Expect at a Prayer Encounter
A Prayer Encounter is a blend of worship, teaching, ministry, prayer, and fellowship.
Saturday events start at 9:00a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. We like for the organizing group to prepare for 15 minutes of praise and worship to start the event. We then teach the first session from 9:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. There will be a 15 minute break and then the second session until 12:00 noon. We will break for lunch for 30 minutes and return at 12:30 p.m. for the third teaching session until 1:30 p.m. There will be a short break and then the final session ending at 2:30 p.m.
You may choose to hold a Sunday afternoon event. Sunday seminars start at 2:30 pm. They usually consist of 3 sessions with a break between the first two, and dinner between the second and final sessions.
We suggest the host church provide drinks and light snacks during break times. Some churches prefer to have lunch or dinner on-site, while others let the attendees go out for lunch. Either method is fine, but it seems to promote fellowship and sharing to eat at the church.

If you have over 150 people you will be billed $25 per person. If you have less than 150 people you will be billed as if 150 people were in attendance. Materials will be provided for those who attend or pay but are unable to attend.

You may set the registration fee for participants at your own discretion. However, please consider...
- If you are financing your event primarily through registrations, we strongly suggest that you charge participants at least $25.00 to help cover seminar fees. Please note: If your attendance is less than 150 people the $25 per person charge will not cover your minimum charge.
- If your event is being partially or fully underwritten by an individual or organization, you may choose to charge less, such as $15.00 per person. That is acceptable, but we highly recommend charging participants at least some type of registration fee. In most cases it will help your attendance.
- You will be responsible for charges in their entirety - Please be prayerful and realistic as you plan your budget, taking into consideration these obligations as well as other costs you may incur such as lunch, snack, coffee, etc. We want you to enjoy the day knowing that finances are taken care of.

If in the week preceding the event, you have less than 50 participants and do not wish to cancel, Renewal Ministries reserves the right to cancel or continue the event at their discretion. If Renewal Ministries decides to cancel, the organizers are responsible for any flights that are already booked, but will not be responsible for seminar fees.

How to Promote Your Prayer Event
80% of all people attending prayer events state they attended
because their pastor encouraged them to be there.
- Have a luncheon 6 to 8 months before the event and invite pastors from your area or district. Give them a workbook and show a video of Terry teaching. It is important to share your heart about having the prayer event in your area. The luncheon can be closer to the time of the school.
- Form a steering committee of 4 to 10 pastors to help do the work and promote the prayer event. Suggested work areas: prayer, registration, finances, publicity, worship, music, facility, sound system, refreshments, accommodations, personnel to help the resource consultant and personnel to help clean up. Feel free to add or combine these work areas.
- Fix a packet that includes a workbook, a master for bulletin inserts and a cover letter from the steering committee. Have pastors that are excited about the prayer event meet with other pastors face to face to pass out these packets. Remember that your job is to reach the pastors. If pastors are excited, they will get their people there (instruct churches to use their bulletin inserts at least twice just prior to the prayer event).
- Newspaper, direct mail, posters and radio or TV are all good supplemental methods of promoting your prayer event. Do not rely on them to bring people to the event. If the pastors do not have a heart for the message, they will not encourage their people to be there.
- Note for District events: Ask the District Superintendent to mail a cover letter and workbook encouraging pastors to participate. You will still need to work with a cluster of pastors to prepare for the prayer event. Local churches that have hosted prayer events and counted on a brochure sent to the district churches have not been as successful as those that have either worked with a cluster of churches or with the District Superintendent to promote the event.
- Note about posters, brochures, and bulletin inserts: The materials, which you will use to promote your event, are designed to add your own imprint with pertinent information, such as time and location. You may design your own use any of the designs we have.
Posters: $1.00 each - Brochures: $50.00 per 100
These are suggestions based upon what has worked for other schools. Feel free to be creative as you organize. We will help you where we can.
